Eligibility Criteria to apply for UTET Papers
Who can appear for the UTET 2024 exams? The exams are conducted at 2 levels. If you want to become eligible to teach Class I-V then you can appear for Paper I, but if you want to become eligible to teach Class VI-VIII, then you can appear in UTET Paper II. However, if you want to become eligible to teach ClassI-VIII then you need to appear for both Paper-I & II.
Eligibility for UTET Paper I
For those who want to appear for Primary Level (Class I to V) exams here are the eligibility norms. You must be:
- 10+2 pass with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma or a 4-year B.El.Ed. OR
- Bachelor’s degree and a 2-year Diploma or B.Ed
Eligibility for UTET Paper II
If you want to appear for the Junior Level exams (Class V-VIII) here are the eligibility norms. You must have:
- Bachelor’s degree and a 2-year Diploma or B.Ed./L.T./Shiksha Shastri
- 10+2 (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year B.El.ED/ or B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. or B.Ed. (Special Education).
Exam pattern for UTET 2024 Paper I & II

How to apply UTET Form 2024
To apply for the Uttarakhand UTET 2024 online application form you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Visit the ukutet.com official website.
Click on the checkbox ‘I acknowledge…” and then click on ‘Proceed to Registration.’ Before that ensure you’ve read the official notification to understand all details.
Step 2: Enter all details to create an account
Step 3: Start the UTET application process
After getting OTP, you’ll see this screen to start applying for UTET
Step 4: Indicate the Paper you want to appear for
You can select either one or both papers by selecting the radio button.
Step 5: Upload your recent photo and signature
After adding all details you’ll see this screen. Make use of the online tool given by the UKTET and create photos as per the given dimensions.
- Your recent photograph should be in JPG format with minimum Pixel: Width : 140, Height : 170 ; max size is : 5-100KB
- Similarly, your signature must be in JPG format; with Pixel: Width : 180, Height : 70; size 2-50KB
- Upload LTI in JPG format; Pixel Width : 250, Height : 150 ; 10-150KB;
Step 6: Preview the final application and pay the fees
Verify all the details as any mistake can reject your form. Lastly, after paying the fees you can take a print-out of your application for records.
